Interns provide critical support for HRIC program work and usually split their time between administrative work, research projects—including backgrounders and in-house memos, press and media support, and translations.
Qualifications
Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an undergraduate or postgraduate degree program
Strong interest in human right issues in China
Familiarity with/interest in international human rights bodies and mechanisms and/or new and traditional media platforms
Excellent writing and Internet research skills
Proficiency or fluency in Mandarin Chinese (highly preferred)
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Extremely organized, self-motivated, and reliable
Computer skills: fluency in Microsoft Office suite, comfort with both PCs and Macs, and regular use of social media. Website design and desktop publishing a plus
