Internship Program Jobs description
An internship program is a formal arrangement designed to provide opportunities for students to study and experience professional career interests outside the university but under the supervision of state university. An internship program is a minimum of twelve to fifteen weeks in length and total anywhere from ten to forty hours per week. An internship program generally runs concurrently with university academic semesters. An internship program is centrally coordinated through the internship center. Students earn academic credit for internship arrangements and are expected to complete academic assignments concurrent with the work experience. An internship program can be paid or unpaid. An internship program establishes relationship between an organization and university. Practical job knowledge is gained over the course of the internship program. To get into an internship program a student must provide official documentation from the college/university stating that the student will be receiving credited hours for the internship.An internship program is of three to six month appointments and may begin at any time throughout the year. Student internship programs are intended for those who have completed one term (quarter or semester) of college enrollment and are actively pursuing a four-year degree. A contrast with and application of what the student has learned in an academic setting is essential for an internship program.
