Job Summary

The Local Media Development Content & Partnerships Intern will support the team's key projects -- **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. Newsmakers and Voices of the Civil Rights Movement - through supporting production efforts, writing scripts, researching topics, and supporting visuals, and providing other storytelling services as needed.

Core Responsibilities

Interested in producing videos that you're really passionate about? **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. Local Media Development (LMD) Content & Partnerships produces original video content for the public that aligns to our company's core values, including diversity/equity/inclusion (DEI), entrepreneurship, bridging the digital divide, and sustainability. You'll be surrounded by a supportive team of video storytellers, social media strategists, documentary filmmakers, and journalists.

Position details:


Supports the Executive Producer in producing video content for the show '**MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. Newsmakers,' driving results for all parts of the production process.

Researching and pitching topics for segments

Script writing

Fact-checking

Reviewing draft edits, both for content and technical issues

QC of platforms

Crafting smart headlines and captions for video content, following AP style for journalism, for multiple platforms.

Attend productions for **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. Newsmakers and provide general support for the team.

Skills preferred: Video editing (Premiere Pro, Avid, Final Cut, etc.), Broadcast script writing, Researching, Attention to detail.

Obtaining a Bachelors degree in Journalism preferred but not required.





Regular, Consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.

Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
