Xperi is looking for a creative and determined intern to provide real-world experience of marketing premium technology solutions to the entertainment industry (movies, gaming and more), including its customers and consumers.
Through the Xperi marketing internship experience, intern will learn more about the following:
· How marketing at Xperi works
· About the DTS brand and other Xperi brands and solutions
· How DTS works with our partners to create amazing technology experiences
· How to contribute to a broader marketing team by creating operational processes and procedures which help improve team performance and campaign success.
Focus project: IMAX Enhanced
In Marketing’s experience, the best internships have focus projects that the intern can own and that have a clear deliverable at the end. This gives the organization tangible value that carries on after the internship is over and gives the Intern a great story to share with future employers that shows the impact he/she made at the company. The focus project for this internship is the development and execution of a digital campaign to support the IMAX Enhanced program. IMAX Enhanced is a partnership between IMAX and DTS that offers the most immersive viewing experience outside of a theatre by bringing together best-in-class certified devices, remastered content, and an elevated streaming experience. Campaign development will include competitive analysis to help inform messaging and align efforts to industry standards.
Reporting relationships/key contacts
· Intern will report directly to the Senior Manager of Global Integrated Marketing. The Senior Manager will be responsible for easing/enabling intern’s integration into the Xperi Marketing team and into Xperi overall. The Senior Manager is also responsible for assigning tasks/priorities and managing intern’s work directly.
· The Xperi Lead for the overall Academy Gold program will serve as the third mentor for intern and will help with any integrations required between Xperi and the Academy Gold program.
· The Senior Director of Integrated Marketing will be the intern’s fourth mentor and is the department sponsor for the internship.
Responsibilities
Intern responsibilities will include and not be limited to:
· Work during the hours of 9a-5pmaccording to a TBD schedule
· Participate in Marketing team meetings
· Report progress bi-weekly to the Senior Director Integrated Marketing, listen to questions/feedback and respond
· Stay connected with the Xperi Lead, listening to for guidance relative to Academy Gold and using as a resource for career advice in general
· Working with the Senior Manager to conceive, develop, and deliver on the assigned tasks/priorities and completion of Focus Project with presentation to the Integrated Marketing team
· Collaborate with digital marketing team to promote and amplify DTS and/or select partner campaign
- Participate and contribute to various DTS marketing projects and campaigns, lending a hand wherever the team needs it
