Summary
Counsels and aids individuals and families requiring assistance dealing with substance abuse problems, such as alcohol or drug abuse, by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Interviews clients, client intake process, review records, and confers with other professionals to evaluate condition of client;
Maintains a caseload of clients (Funded, Medicaid, and or a combination)
Formulates with client treatment plan and program for treatment;
Counsels clients individually and in group sessions to assist client in overcoming alcohol and drug dependency;
Counsels family members to assist family in dealing with and providing support for client;
Refers clients to other support services as needed such as medical evaluation and treatment, social services, and employment services;
Monitors condition of client to evaluate success of therapy, and adapts treatment as needed;
Prepares and maintains reports and case histories;
CMBHS client data entry;
Maintains client files in compliance with State Regulations and CARF Standards;
Formulates and conducts programs to promote prevention of alcohol and drug abuse;
Schedules and attends client case treatment reviews meetings;
Enforces clients fees by utilizing the Welcome Station/Methware System;
Addresses and reinforces the client program rules, policies and procedures;
Maintains client attendance log in client files for program attendance compliance;
Attends CTI training weekly and maintains all CTI hours documented in a Binder for verification (CI only);
Processes caseload individual intakes as scheduled and acquire QCC signature (CI only);
Assist in clinical supervision to counselor interns and QCC as needed (LCDC only);
Assists in urinalysis collections for all programs; and
Performs other duties as assigned by the Department Supervisor, Clinical Director and or CEO.
