Your Impact as a Compliance Intern The Compliance Intern will support the implementation of Aon’s compliance programs globally, including anti-corruption, trade sanctions, anti-money laundering, managing conflicts of interest, regulatory matters, and general compliance matters. This is a unique opportunity for rising college Seniors to learn, contribute, and gain real-world work experience in a collaborative environment. The program equips interns with an understanding of working in an environment dedicated to exceeding client expectations and delivering products and services distinct to unique client needs. 10-week paid program in offices throughout the U.S.Challenging work on significant client projectsWeekly global roundtables with leadersOne on one Internship mentoringFormal and informal feedback throughout the programPlanned social outingsCommunity service activityJob Responsibilities:Research different laws, rules, and regulations related to Aon’s key compliance risks by reviewing regulatory bulletins, federal updates, news briefs, and other sources of information. Participate in the review and updating of Global Compliance policies and procedures, including benchmarking external policies, and recommending enhancements to Aon’s policies.Monitor global compliance training completion rates and follow up with colleagues who have not completed modules, as required.Participate in the development of new compliance training programs and the enhancement of existing programs.Monitor the status of Personal Conflicts of Interest disclosures, including following up with approvers to ensure timely review and actioning of all disclosures.Support the annual Internal Audit Disclosure Questionnaire process, including identifying whether compliance disclosures have been made.Build foundational knowledge in key compliance areas, including competition, anti-corruption, data privacy, trade sanctions, and other key areas.Maintain RFP sample responses partnering with subject matter experts to ensure content is accurate and current.Support the review of Aon’s internal and external materials to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Assist in the day-to-day administration of the compliance programs and monitoring.Assist with the Firm’s responses and documentation requests to any regulatory inquiries, third party examiners and internal audit.Interact with various departments within the organization to ensure consistency in policies and procedures.Additional administrative duties and special projects in broader Law and Compliance, as needed.
