Description
The Learning Design Professional 2 Intern will utilize Humana's Centralized Medicaid training and engage formerly acquired skillsets from the military experience and education to perfom within the learning delivery team. Work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.
Responsibilities
The Learning Design Professional 2 Intern will work with the department to perform the following:
Analyze and organize content, designs solutions, and writes storyboards, scripts, performance support, policy & procedure documents, job aids and process flow documents.
Use instructional design, cognitive psychology and adult learning theory to determine the appropriate solution to a knowledge or performance gap.
Analyzes learning needs and partners with subject matter experts to provide input for course content. Writes effective learning objectives and coordinates performance assessments to measure training effectiveness.
Ensures course materials are current and relevant to training needs.
Tracks and analyzes the training programs effectiveness by examining learner's satisfaction levels, proficiency testing, and job performance improvement.
Provides instruction and guidance to Facilitators.
Plans, organizes, and develops training curriculum, materials, job aid, job performance aids and programs to meet specific training needs.
Uses consultative skills to commit projects and conduct needs analysis with clients to determine whether learning solutions are necessary or relevant.
Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas.
Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed.
Follows established guidelines/procedures.
Required Qualifications
Minimum one, (1), year of administrative experience working with documentation to include creation and editing of materials which may be used for any of the following: training, SOPA (Standard Operation Procedure Announcement), process flows, and/or job aids.
Intermediate to Advanced MS Office Proficient in all office products (particularly Word, PPT, Excel, SharePoint and Vizio)
Ability to organize, analyze and synthesize information
Minimum Intermediate/Advanced typing and computer navigation skills using multiple systems, platforms) and an ability to troubleshoot and resolve general technical difficulties
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Work at Home Requirements:
Must have the ability to provide a high speed DSL or cable modem for a home office. Associates or contractors who live and work from home in the state of California will be provided payment for their internet expense.
A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25x10 (25mpbs download x 10mpbs upload) is required.
Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role.
A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information
Preferred Qualifications
Associate's or higher Degree in one of the following areas: Business Administration; Learning and Performance; Education; Organizational Design or Related field.
Cornerstone Experience
Knowledge of MCD healthcare
Progressive business experience with a focus on learning strategies and adult learning theories.
