Description

The Market Research Intern performs duties in the field of study around consumer insights and market research. The Market Research Intern will engage in managing moderately complex data sets by analyzing for trends and patterns, build visualized insight stories, and manage custom research projects. This intern will work on projects assigned under the direction of Market Research Leads from his/her remote location.

Responsibilities

Humana is seeking a Market Research Summer intern that will be responsible for:

Conducting analysis for Humana Medicare regions, which will be inserted into the annual Market Pack Report - this will include visualizing the story in Power Point

Attending member experience meetings for CAHPS and CE

Conducting ad-hoc analyses related to the various impact to Net Promotor Scores. This includes joining survey data to other internal data sources to build a data set for analysis. Analyze the data for the story and key insights. Create/build a report in Power Point to convey the story.

Overseeing and ensuring quality execution of the Net Promotor Score data uploads to the PowerBI platform, including implementing visualization enhancements to Dashboard

Managing Member Panel research project relating to the new member experience

By the completion of the internship, the student can expect to:

Understand the member/subscriber experience through an Enterprise Net Promotor Score framework

Experience the market research process by a managing custom research projects using the Medicare New Member Panel

Exposure to the Medical Insurance Industry

Required Qualifications

Currently pursuing graduate degree

Has an analytical aptitude, and completed course work in statistics

Able to manage large data sets

Very proficient in Power Point and Excel and Tableau

Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills

Must not require sponsorship to work in the U.S. now or in the future

Be actively involved on-campus and/or in the community

Possess an interest in a career of market research

Able to work remotely and independently on assigned projects

Preferred Qualifications

Working knowledge of PowerBI

Previous working experience with analytic principles

SAS Enterprise Guide

Have a strong academic history, with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA being desired

Possess an interest in working in the healthcare industry
