Job Details:

SUMMARY: The position holder will work with a variety of poultry engineering positions in order to become familiar with the various parts of the engineering process. They will also gain exposure to operation support departments such as operations, production, maintenance, personnel, safety, shipping, receiving, sanitation, scheduling, quality, process improvement. Our Interns are expected to contribute to our success through innovative ideas and value creation. Based on successful performance and the talent needs of our business, Interns may have the opportunity to become full-time Tyson Team Members.REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Actively enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited university, seeking a degree in an Engineering field such as: Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Structural, Construction, Chemical, or Industrial.

Experience: Previous work experience of any kind is preferred. AutoCad experience a plus.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Computer Skills: Basic computer skills.

Special Skills: Motivated self-starter who has the desire to learn from others; ability to work independently or as part of a team; strong problem solving skills; time management and multitasking abilities; and strong interpersonal skills.

Travel: Visits to offsite locations during the summer months.
