Responsibilities
What We are Looking For:
This summer internship opportunity is one that requires a student with strong communication skills, the ability to think strategically, and demonstrate leadership potential. Interns will perform various activities such as administrative, operational, or customer support assignments in our Retail business segment that pertain directly to their major and/or field of interest. Typically works on semi-routine assignments.
Humana generates sustainable, quality growth through differentiated products and an integrated simplified experience that creates leading health outcomes. The Retail Segment is comprised of Individual Medicare Advantage, Group Medicare, Medicare Supplement, stand-alone Prescription Drug Plans, Individual Medicaid, and long-term services. The team is organized by the following organizations:
Medicare Markets: Retail East & Provider Experience and Retail West & MarketPoint
Consumer & Provider Services and Solutions
Medicaid
Retail Medicare Operations
Health Quality Reporting and Improvement
Retail Management
Retail Culture and Communications
Issues and Inquiries Process Transformation
The placement for the candidates selected for the internship will be dependent on their skillsets and interests.
Required Qualifications
All Students and Majors are welcome! Duties will be assigned accordingly
Currently pursuing Bachelor's degree with an anticipated graduation date of August 2022 or later
Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Have a strong academic history, with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA being desired
Be actively involved on-campus and/or in the community
Possess an interest in working in the healthcare industry

For this job, associates are required to be fully COVID vaccinated (preferred) or undergo weekly COVID testing and wear a face covering while at work.
