Job Details:

SUMMARY: This position is responsible for providing project support to Case Ready Beef and Pork Production Planning Team Members. Project work will focus primarily on supply chain management such as production scheduling, inventory management of raw material and finished goods and transportation and logistics work. Position may include involvement with the following: Project Development Management; inventory analysis; learning and managing data systems and reports as assigned by the supervisor; directly managing the outcome of specific projects as assigned by the supervisor; acting daily as a contributing member to the assigned Case Ready Beef and Pork team, to the division, and to Tyson Foods, Inc. Based on initiative, this position offers the potential for exposure to supply chain management systems, sales analysis and a financial perspective, networking with marketing teams, sales, production, customer service, large corporate environment, enhancement of computer skills and promotional agency. REQUIREMENTS: Education: Incoming college Junior or Senior. Supply Chain, Transportation and Logistics or other Agriculture/Business majors preferred. Experience: Previous work or volunteer experience. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written skills. Computer Skills: Working knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Special Skills: Strong mathematical skills, ability to multi-task and detail oriented; desire to learn; self-starter with the ability to work independently and in teams; Internship extended each semester pending on-going performance.

Travel: Minimal Position Specific Requirements: This is a year-round internship. The position holder will be asked to work 20-25 hours per week during the school year and up to 40 hours per week over the summer and breaks. Only local candidates will be considered.
