Accounting Intern - Commercial Chain Accounts

Job Details:

Responsibilities include: running weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports for the National Accounts management team; directly managing the outcome of specific projects as assigned by the supervisor; providing sales and marketing groups with timely accurate information related to the National Accounts division; preparing various sales and cost related reports for management and other departments; working with the financial analyst and the sales accountant for the group to help with any needs that may arise. Based on the initiative this position offers the potential for exposure to accounting systems, sales analysis, and a financial perspective in a large corporate environment.

REQUIREMENTS:Education: Accounting or Finance major required. Junior or Senior Preferred. At least one year of school remaining

Experience: Previous work experience in any field.

Computer Skills: Strong computer skills and the ability to multi-task and a working knowledge of Excel Word Access and PowerPoint.

Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written skills

Special Skills: Desire to learn and a self-starter with the ability to work independently or in teams.

Position-Specific Requirements: This internship is a year-round role where candidates are expected to work part-time (20 hours/week) during the school year. Candidates are able to work as many as 40 hours/week during the summer months.
