We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and hardworking individual with research skills to undertake a six-month internship within SERIO, an applied research unit at the University of Plymouth. SERIO, situated within the Research and Innovation department of the University, offers specialist evaluation and research services both regionally and nationally. We work with public, private and third sector organisations, providing bespoke services tailored to our clients’ needs. By listening closely to clients' objectives, we make sure that our outputs are robust, accessible and readily utilised, enabling our clients to make informed decisions and develop effective policy and strategy. A sound understanding of the activity undertaken within SERIO would be advantageous, and further information and examples of our clients and contracts is available at ****We are seeking to appoint a capable and motivated individual to support SERIO’s research team in the execution of key project tasks. This will involve providing research support and undertaking varied research tasks across multidisciplinary projects, under the supervision of senior members of staff. This internship will give you an opportunity to work in a business environment alongside a team of experienced researchers. You will work on a portfolio of research projects, and gain experience across a range of sectors. You will be applying research methods to current socio-economic issues, and will have the opportunity to develop team working, client negotiation and time management skills, as well as enhancing your abilities around research design, analytical techniques and insight reporting.
