This position will likely work remotely the entire summer. However, our preference is to hire someone who will be based in the Charlotte, NC area on the chance we're able to go back to office during the summer.

THE POSITION

Real work. The only person you’ll be getting coffee for at LendingTree is yourself. You’ll be doing professional level work that will have a real impact on the business

Training. Sure you’ll learn a ton of industry skills as you contribute to your team every day, but you’ll also go through specific training on: crafting a great resume and LinkedIn profile, getting interviews and how to handle them, how to give a phenomenal presentation and more

You’re not alone. In addition from the support from your team you’ll be assigned a Mentor outside of your department who will guide you and mentor you throughout the summer

End of summer presentation. At the end of the summer every Intern gives a PPT presentation to Executives which will include a summary of what you accomplished, what you learned and 2 ideas that will either make the company money or save the company money

RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop a strong understanding of paid search marketing (Search Engine Marketing (SEM)) through Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, and Search Ads 360.

Conduct market research/competitive analysis to inform the team of auction pressure, movement, and opportunities to expand current account structure.

Work with the team to ideate, build & test ad copy, keyword expansion, and bidding strategies across key categories.

Focus on improving quality score and/or ad strength in each account by auditing current ads and implementing new ad copy.

Build reports to help monitor performance based on KPIs. Communicate any findings and insights to the team with recommended optimizations.

Perform weekly search query reports, add negative keywords where necessary, and add keywords into existing ad groups for optimal performance.

Research industry trends and relevant news to stay up to date with best practices, new tools, and betas.

Develop an understanding of & broaden exposure to digital marketing in general & SEM advertising in particular

QUALIFICATIONS

Very bright (3.5 GPA required) undergrad or grad student who will be graduating in December 2021 or May 2022 (GPA must be listed on your resume to be considered)

Preferred majors: Business Administration, Economics, Digital Marketing, Marketing, Analytics

Very proficient in Excel, experience with Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs required

Proactive, motivated, & great teammate, with a high capacity for rapid learning, out-of-the-box thinking, and meticulous attention to detail

Willingness to roll up sleeves, learn, and GET STUFF DONE!
