Come then and be part of IDAAP (IoT Digital Identity, Authentication, Architecture and Protocol) group with Comcast Cyber Security (CCS).
As a IDAAP Intern, you will learn about sophisticated Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), highly scalable API security and token system, Secure Element Chips and support deployment and operational support of the same. The candidate will also interface with other developers within Comcast to understand system features, user interactions, user requirements, data flows, cloud operations and monitoring.
IDAAP team works with best in the world including collaborating with companies such as Apple, Amazona, Google and others. The team follows agile methodology and works with sufficient autonomy and decision making ability.

Who will the intern work with?
IDAAP engineers and architects interact with other teams with Comcast such as firmware engineers who work on embedded devices, API engineers who support scalable system for video and Internet customers. The skill set ranges from embedded systems, firmware that directly interacts with specialized security chips, AWS cloud technologies, secure API's, different types of data stores and execution functions, multi factor authentication and digital certificates based machine-machine authentication.
What are some interesting problems the intern will work on?
In your role, you will learn to interact, deploy and troubleshoot systems that include sophisticated Public Key Infrastructure, highly scalable API security and token system, Secure Element Chips and Digital Certificate management systems. You will learn cloud operation, monitoring and troubleshooting systems. You will also have the ability to create continuous integration (CI) and continuous development (CD) pipelines and ensure proper checks are in place for software deployment. You will also work on QA automation frameworks.
Where can this intern make an impact?
You'll be working with the best and brightest minds in Comcast who are experts in PKI, API security frameworks and embedded systems. Success in this role is characterized by a higher speed to market, with fewer customer-facing defects and outages.
Job Responsibilities
Intern responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Support daily operation of PKI, API security framework systems
Help troubleshoot issues involving PKI, API security framework systems
Support cloud operations involving AWS tools and monitoring systems
Work with QA automation frameworks
Create automation scripts including deployment and scaling
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of C or Java or Python
Linux shells and automation
QA automation tools and principles
Minimum Qualifications and Eligibility Requirements
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree from a United States-based college or university
Rising Junior or Rising Senior with an anticipated graduation date of December 2023, Spring 2024, December 2024 or Spring 2025.
Returning to degree-program (for at least a semester) after the completion of the summer internship
Authorized to work in the United States with no current or future sponsorship needs
Available to work 40 hours per week over the course of the summer program
Recommended GPA: 3.0 (candidates will be evaluated on overall skills, education, and experience)

Base Pay: $32.00
