Many companies do their hiring from their internal employees first. If you begin at the bottom and learn all that there is to know about a company, their goals and directives, and their structure you could take this information and use it towards their benefit. You may even find that the upper management team at the new company is made up of people that began their employment just like you, in entry level jobs.
Many people go into entry level jobs with much more experience and education than what is necessary to do the job. They have school and employment history that will provide them with the ability to move up quickly at a new company.
